The Essential Utility Pant

I work in a job where my beloved Wildfang coveralls and overalls aren’t suitable, but needed sharp looking pants with a lot of pockets. The Essential Utility Pants are PERFECT. They are breathable, easy to move in (my job is pretty active!) and don’t wrinkle much. They pack and travel well too - I usually bike in with them folded! I have gotten many compliments on them at work. One note is I did size down a full size to get the right fit; they experienced veryyyyy minor shrink the first wash, but I hang them to dry and that works great. I already have 2 pairs and am looking forward to getting a 3rd! Thanks Wildfang!

First, they do run pretty big, which may be exactly what you want and they still look and feel awesome. I am reliably a small in pants, sometimes creeping toward a medium (4-6, 27-28). I have to cinch the waists all the way in on the Small for them to stay up. I haven't washed them yet and imagine they may shrink a bit which will be fine as they are also a half-inch too long for me at 5'4" (but, again, they still work). So, they are quite roomy but in a very comfortable way. The placement of the waist adjustment tabs on the sides, by the pockets, is just right -- your pants don't look awkwardly bunched in the front or back. The fabric is soft and light; these will be great warmer-weather pants and I see myself living in them despite being a die-hard jeans afficionado. And I do love the cream color; it's definitely more of a light tan / canvas than a white. They give me artist-pant vibes, which I love. I am definitely ordering a black pair but will go X-Small.
